Placing Holds on Materials at the Mac Library
Answer
You may place a hold on materials (book, DVD, CD) at the Macalester library for pickup at a later time. Some materials (such as Reserve items or bikes) cannot be placed on hold.
To place a hold:
- Search for your desired item using the Worldcat Discovery search box on the front page of the library website.
- When you find the item you would like to place a hold on, click on the title, and from there click the orange Request button on the left side of the page.
- Confirm details about the hold before submitting on the next page.
You will receive an email when the requested item is available to be picked up from the Library Service Desk.
